Higher Heights Youth Empowerment Programs Inc., seeks High School and University students to serve as peer tutors and provide mentorship to our under represented college bound 9-12 grade students. We welcome students of all talents although we particularly seek students proficient in math, science, English/writing, and social studies. This is a wonderful volunteer opportunity for students with service requirements as well as a chance to reach out to Greater New Haven youth. Tutor sessions will be administered in one hour blocks Monday through Friday 3:00pm-5:00pm and Saturdays according to need and availability. Hours are flexible. Student tutors may choose to spend one hour a week or several hours a week working with students. Monday and Wednesday sessions will be held at Albertus Magnus College. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday sessions will be held at the HHYEP office.
