Mission Statement
We want to raise awareness and funds for ALS/Lou Gehrigs Disease as well as provide tangible help and hope to ALS patients and their families.
Description
ALS is a fatal debilitating disease with no present cause nor cure. This disease eventually leaves its victim unable to use arms, walk, speak, and breathe, yet the victim's mind continues to remain fully intact.
Debra Haugabrook-Briggs having heard of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease in the past, never knew the real devastation of this disease until diagnosed in 2012. Debra’s Journey for Life Foundation is committed to assisting with finding a cure and helping other victims and their families who are in need. This disease does not discriminate and is affecting hundreds of people each year from all walks of life.
