Purpose: The position of Front Desk Ambassador serves as the face and voice of Virginia Beach CDC, representing the organization to the public who visit or contact the office. It is a supportive role in helping families and veterans find affordable housing.

Location: VBCDC Corporate Headquarters, 2400 Potters Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23454

Key Responsibilities

  • Greets neighbors and guests and directs them to the appropriate staff
Time Commitment: Volunteers are asked to commit to at least 1 shift per week (2 hours) for a minimum of 3 months.

Qualifications: We are looking for someone with a pleasant manner, clear verbal communication skills, dependability, patience and a desire to learn and help the community.

Support: Training for this position will be provided. Additionally, Administrative Staff will be available for questions and support.

Dress Code: Business Casual

VBCDC is an award-winning 501(c)3 non-profit housing development corporation operating in the City of Virginia Beach. VBCDC is committed to developing quality affordable rental opportunities, providing comprehensive support services to its tenants, and providing comprehensive housing counseling services to families and individuals in need. VBCDC currently owns and manages over 410 units of affordable rental housing located throughout the City of Virginia Beach that serve low-to-moderate income families, individuals, elderly persons, veterans, homeless persons, and persons with disabilities.
