Easter Seals is a nonprofit, community-based health agency dedicated to increasing the independence of people with disabilities. Easter Seals makes a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities and their family members by offering a wide range of quality services and programs. Easter Seals is at the forefront of advocacy efforts on behalf of people with disabilities.
Description
Easter Seals provides services, programs and advocacy for over 30,000 people with disabilities of all ages in our area. People with disabilities served include: Stroke, Developmental delays, Polio, Muscular Dystrophy, Speech, Language and Hearing Disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Spina Bifida, Alzheimer's Disease, Mental Retardation, Amputation, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, and Orthopedic disabilities. Examples of programs and services include: Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy, Assistive Technology, Summer Camp, Independent Living Training Skills, Adult Basic Education, Computer Training, Job Training and Placement, Support Groups, Day and Community Programs, and Specialized Transportation
