Have you always wanted to volunteer? Do you have a passion for the safety and well-being of children? Do you wish there was more time in the day so you could volunteer for opportunities that support children and families?
If you answered "yes" to the previous questions, then this may be the opportunity for you!
Volunteer and Partner Services is recruiting volunteers for one-time events. Special projects and events are in different locations throughout Fairfax County. There is no weekly commitment to volunteer, we just ask that you are willing to be "on-call" for a year and commit to helping out with at least 5 special projects during the year. Special Projects and Events would include:
- Helping with child-care
- Helping with an event- set up, take down, pictures, sign-in, etc
- Transporting client to appointment
- Arts and crafts projects
- Entering data
- Preparing dinners for programs
- Translations and interpretation services
- Photographing events
- Helping with tables at fairs and events
- And many more!
