You can use your skills to promote our org's largest fundraiser. The position requires you to log in to various Web sites and to send descriptions and flyers via e-mail. We are passionate about preserving local history; you might be passionate about this too, or would like to brush up on your skills in public relations, publicity, or Web site content. In exchange for your efforts, you will have a solid non-profit marketing experience to add to your skill set.

You will have plenty to begin with -- countdown-to-event schedules, messages to volunteers, press releases, etc. We've delivered our classic home tour every three years for a long time. People love and look forward to our event, and they feel active and engaged.

Required skills: Ability to work with nice people! Good written grammar and editing skills, blog and Web site computer skills, photo editing (cropping or lightening, no Photoshopping!), basic MS Excel. Adapt to changing requirements. Meet our team, then attend one evening meeting per month in Ballard. Alternatively, keep in touch via e-mail every week or meet the committee head personally at more convenient time.
