The Chicago Winters are harsh! Help keep JCFS’ clients warm. Join us as we match the clients wishes for their warm winterwear.

Through generous funding provided by JUF’s Chanukah Coat Club, Jewish Child & Family Services (JCFS) is proud to provide over 250 adults and 600 children with new hats, gloves, coats and more this winter season. The winter clothing clients receive from Project Winter Warmth are often the first new items of clothing clients have received. The impact on self-esteem of having a new item of clothing for the first time cannot be overstated.

In early fall, staff throughout JCFS' many programs speak to clients that have been identified as in need. These programs include foster care, residential group homes, counseling, resettlement services, early childhood and more. The clients share wtih the clinicians their sizes, favorite colors, characters and other wishes for their winter clothing. All of this information is combined and prepped. Please join us on November 11th to pack and sort all of the online winter clothing purchases.
