Depending on your skill set, we’re always looking for volunteers to work directly with our neighbors. In an effort to help acclimate them to community living and to ensure they’re engaging with others, we rely on volunteers to engage with them in meaningful ways. We have a monthly calendar of events filled with various life skills classes and activities to engage our neighbors. If you have a particular passion and/or are knowledgeable in a certain topic and you’d like to share it with our neighbors at The Cottages, we’d love to hear from you!

About CitySquare
Location:
1610 S Malcolm X Blvd, Dallas, TX 75226, US
Mission Statement
CitySquare fights the causes and effects of poverty through service, advocacy, and friendship. Working together as a community, we feed the hungry, heal the sick, house the homeless and renew hope in the heart of our city.
Description
Since our humble beginnings in 1988 as a small food pantry for the working poor of our community, CitySquare has grown into a broad community development organization offering a wide range of social services.
Citysquare’s interlocking network of programs can be organized into four key areas: Hunger, Health, Housing, and Hope. Combined, our programs reach more than 30,000 people a year.
We don’t fight poverty for the poor--we fight poverty with our neighbors. Our 25-year commitment to addressing the root causes of poverty, both on an individual and systemic level, combined with our unyielding commitment to stewardship, makes CitySquare a proven leader in our community and beyond.
