Simple chores like vacuuming, mopping, carrying laundry, taking out the trash and changing sheets become a challenge to an individual living with age and illness related limitations, 2-6 hours per month is plenty of time to do simple chores that allow a senior without family in the area to continue living in their own homes or apartments.

Volunteering schedules are extremely flexible, allowing you to designate which days and times work for you. Many of our clients love visiting with young children allowing wonderful opportunities to introduce children & teens to the culture of helping. On-call positions are also available for volunteers who could not accommodate a regular visit. Minimum commitment of 6 months is preferred but not required.

Volunteer Services is a program of Catholic Community Services. VS provides volunteers who help with the living independence of low-income elders and people living with disabilities. Volunteers are matched to someone based on their interest and volunteering is done on YOUR schedule, in YOUR neighborhood!

Mileage reimbursed for drivers, orientation provided, and background check required. Location shown is approximate; client location given after orientation.
