Brookhaven Hospice is recruiting Volunteers who have served in the Military to help hospice patients who are Veterans.
Veterans may have unique needs at end of life.
Your experience helps you relate to and connect with our Veteran patients and their families.
What hospice patients need:
*An opportunity for life review and healing
*Help documenting memories
*Assistance with replacing lost medals
*Appreciation for their service
Training is free and available at your convenience.

Description
Hospice volunteers bring comfort, joy and love to patients who are terminally ill through their actions.
Volunteers simply need a caring heart and a willingness to serve. The extensive volunteer training program provides them with an awareness of patient's needs and prepares them to participate with the hospice team.
