The Need for Food Pantry Help is Critical!! And Volunteers 18 and over are encouraged to Help!
As we begin the new year, we are excited to announce new opportunities for the Interfaith community, and especially for those we serve. We have a steady supply of fresh fruits and vegetables that are donated to us daily. In order to make the best of the resources that are so generously provided to us - we need to ask for your help! We have a full daily schedule of food pick-ups that we currently make on our own, but the list of donors is constantly growing. If you combine that with a retiring volunteer pool, you can see that if we do not replenish our faithful workers and drivers, we will end up missing out on a lot of great opportunities. As it stands, we have around six daily pick-ups that we need to cover, plus we would like to be able to add one or two more but are currently unable to receive - due merely to a lack of drivers. If you would like to help us out with this, the commitment can be as large or as small as you wish. The simple overview is that we need people to run out to a business at a certain time of the day, load up the donations of food that are waiting for us, and then deliver them to our loading dock!
There are many other volunteer opportunities at Interfaith ministries such as the clothes closet, Homebound Delivery Food Service.
