For over 30 years, the AR&LE Ski & Snowboard program has been providing individuals with developmental disabilities the opportunity to learn how to ski or snowboard. Each year more than 30 volunteers serve as instructors who work 1:1 with our students. Without our volunteers, this program would not be possible!
We are now recruiting volunteers for the 2024 season. We ski/snowboard at Hyland Hills in Bloomington on Thursday nights for six weeks in January & February. There is NO COST for our volunteers; all lift tickets and rentals are included and training is provided. We ask that skiers and snowboarders be at an intermediate level and have the desire to give back to others.

Thursday, January 4: 6:30-8:00pm (at Richfield Community Center) DRY-LAND TRAINING
Sunday, January 7: 8:30am-3:30pm (at Hyland Hills) ON-THE-HILL TRAINING
Thursdays, January 11-February 15: 6:30-8:30pm (at Hyland Hills) LESSONS
Thursday, February 22: 6:30-8:30pm (at Hyland Hills) MAKE-UP NIGHT IF NEEDED

To offer opportunities for individuals with disabilities to actively participate in Recreation, Leisure and Community Education programs in the four cities of Blooington, Eden Prairie, Edina and Richfield.

Description
AR&LE is a cooperative between the cities of Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina and Richfield that provides Recreation, Leisure and Community Education opportunities to individuals with disabilities.
The AR&LE Ski & Snowboard program provides seven weeks of fun, safe, quality ski/snowboard instruction to individulas with developmental disabilities.
