Office volunteers are needed to assist with administrative tasks in our Hospice Compassus office located in Fort Washington PA.

Compassus Hospice serves terminally ill patients and their loved ones throughout Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. We honor life and offer hope to individuals facing a life-limiting illness by supporting them with compassion, diginity, and comfort care.

While volunteering with hospice patients may not be for everybody, becoming an office volunteer provides an individual with an opportunity to still serve our patients and their loved ones indirectly. A lot of the support and material provided to our patients would not be possible without the behind the scenes work done by our dedicated administrative staff and volunteers. We have a very pleasant office environment.

Volunteers perform varies tasks including filing, entering data, organizing work spaces, working on special projects, and creating packets & material that is directly given to our patients.

Our office hours are Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm. As help is always needed, we offer very flexible schedules to all our volunteers in that time frame. While we would love to have a volunteer commit to a regular volunteer schedule, we also are happy to have volunteer who may only be able to volunteer one or two times a month. Even some of our office volunteers prefer to be only on-call to help out if there is a last minute request. Regularly scheduled volunteers can choose a time & day they'd prefer to volunteer weekly. (Most volunteer shifts are two to three hours, however even the length can be determined by the volunteer.)
