Marketing Manager

Heroes in Action (HIA) seeks a volunteer to serve as our Marketing Manager. Under the leadership of the Director of Communications, the Marketing Manager will embrace the value of helping police officers, firefighters and military veterans by managing the Heroes in Action brand.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategize, create and implement a marketing plan.
2. Attends HIA events to ensure the HIA brand is represented positively.
3. Works with similar organizations to identify cross marketing opportunities.
4. Manage promotional products. (Apparel, prizes, organizational literature, etc.)
5. Recruit and train volunteers as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
1. Strong attention to detail.
2. Understanding of the creative process and how to yield the best work.
3. Microsoft Office

INDUSTRY:
Non-Profit

EXPERIENCE:
Ability to build, execute and stay on plan. Creative ability to evaluate promotional programs. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a team. Knowledge of public safety / military veteran culture preferred.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Volunteer: 8-10 hours per week. Slightly higher when events are occurring.
