The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of DeWitt County is seeking passionate community volunteers to help plan and organize various aspects of the 2016 summer event.
Relay For Life is a nationwide, community-based, and volunteer-driven fundraiser walk that supports the American Cancer Society in achieving its mission to prevent cancer, save lives, and diminish suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service.
The Relay For Life of DeWitt County is looking for individuals and groups interested in getting more involved in their community. We will have opportunities for those interested in any and all parts of planning a big fundraiser, including but not limited to...
Engaging cancer survivors and caregivers
Planning and scheduling entertainment for the event
Securing the venue and other logistical needs
Collecting, counting, and recording donations
Managing the website and Facebook page
...and much, much more!
All skill levels are welcome. Event Leadership Team members should expect to attend at least one meeting per month for updates, but time commitments may vary and can be flexible.
