We are looking for individuals who are interested in committing thirty minutes per week to mentor children. Mentoring is done on a voulnteer basis, one on one during the student's lunch time. Applicants must be adults, and must be able to visit once per week during the school day. (Students' lunch times generally range from 11:00am-1:15pm, depending on the grade level.) Focus is on goal setting, both academic and social. Please note that this is NOT an opportunity for tutoring. Potential mentors will require background checks. Mentors will only have contact during the school day and will not have contact outside of school (no exchanging of personal contact information.)
