On Thanksgiving morning, we'll observe the Emmitsburg tradition of the 8th Annual Emmitsburg Wattle Waddle Run/Walk, which includes a 5-mile run, a 1-mile walk and a free breakfast for runners, walkers and spectators. It is an absolutely fun and invigorating experience and we invite you to be a part of this event by volunteering your time - to give thanks by giving back. Proceeds will benefit the services and program Seton Center provides to those in need.
This year our volunteer needs include folks to assist with the following areas:
Award table
Runner Walker registration table
T-shirt sales table
Recovery table - refreshments and snacks at end of race for runners
Breakfast - set-up & preparation, cooking, transport of food to park, serving food, clean-up
Traffic control/direction
Course set-up/signage
Parking
Turkey Mascot
Cheerleaders

Description
Seton Center, Inc. is a social service organization in northern Frederick County MD. We provide financial assistance for mortgage, rent, utility, clothing and medical expenses. We also offer the Seton Family Store (thrift shop), and case management, programs and services to guide and support client growth in the areas of life skills such as literacy, financial and health management.
We serve those living at the federal poverty AND/OR the ALICE (Asset-Limited, Income-Constrained, Employed) rate; those working for wages that do not support even the basic living expenses. We believe that each person is unique and should be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, creed or financial status.
