Approaching our 20th year of service, GirlVentures is a nonprofit empowering adolescent girls to develop and express their strengths. Through outdoor adventure and leadership programs, participants learn to Live Healthy lives, Relate Wisely to one another and the environment, and Lead Confidently. We are seeking a pro bono public relations and social media agency or independent professional to help us in two ways. First, to place stories on a variety of social media outlets about GirlVentures programs and participants in January and February of 2016 in order to increase visibility, promote a better understanding of our organization’s mission, activities and impact, and to help with enrollment in our Summer 2016 courses. Description
GirlVentures offers school year and summer programs for adolescent girls from around the Bay Area.
In connecting girls with the outdoors, they learn to make smart decision for healthy living, relate wisely to themselves, others, and the environment, as well as emerge as confident leaders. Girls and parents alike report that the experience gained on GirlVentures’ courses is successfully incorporated into girls’ daily lives in school, at home, in social settings, and within their communities.
To date, GirlVentures has played a pivotal role in the lives of more than 4,000 girls in the Bay Area.
