Mission Statement

GivingPoint is a nationwide community-based youth development organization that inspires a passion for learning and service through cutting edge technology resources, virtual educational modules, and hands-on volunteer opportunities. GivingPoint was created to equip youth with an Internet platform that encourages collaboration, interaction and creativity. With a support network of peers, businesses, schools, and nonprofits, we are harnessing the passions and energy of young people to create a better world.

GivingPoint combines innovative technology, social networking, meaningful service and immersion training programs to help youth discover their unique passion, fuel their spark, elevate their ideas and share their stories to create a better, more connected and socially responsible world.

We promote global philanthropy by helping youth connect with donors from around the world. We see a global community of individuals breaking down the barriers between and within us, with personal projects that let us sponsor, follow and discuss each others' chosen causes.

Description

GivingPoint is the first and only nonprofit in the country to:

Offer an online tool to serve, support, and develop young social entrepreneurs.

Enable socially conscious students to track, verify, and document service hours that can be "cashed in" for grants to the nonprofits they care about and serve.

Provide youth a platform where they can create and personalize their unique civic transcripts through an efficient online verification system.

Launch a social networking site, designed specifically for youth, that allows them to raise awareness, funds and volunteers for causes they care about.

Today, over 5,000 youth, nonprofits and donors are leveraging GivingPoint's resources to unleash the energy and imagination of youth to create a more compassionate, connected, socially responsible world.
