Join the crew at South Street Seaport Museum in preserving, restoring, and maintaining the historic fleet of ships. An orientation for new volunteers will be held every Wednesday at 11 A.M. sharp. Get your hands dirty, make some friends, and learn useful and unique skills! You'll learn safety and protection, metal and wood preparation, marlinespike seamanship (ie; knots), painting and varnishing, hand and power tool use, and much more as you keep our magnificent historic ships floating!

Founded on May 22, 1967, the South Street Seaport Museum is dedicated to telling the story of the port of New York and the maritime history of the region.
