Mission Statement
To create global partnerships that combat extreme poverty and nurture sustainable community.
Description
JustHope works with rural community leaders in Nicaragua and a variety of groups in the US to increase global competency and understanding in our US partners and develop leadership skills and community development capacity in our Nicaraguan partners.
Over the past six years, thousands of students and faculty from Tulsa have traveled to Nicaragua where they are able to learn first-hand the link between health and social and economic variables and how they impact the people of Nicaragua and the US. Upon their return from Nicaragua, travelers recognize how this service learning opportunity is personally transformative and that it strengthens their intercultural relationships in the Tulsa community. We are proud to have played a part in shaping lives that are already and will continue to make Tulsa and other US partner cities better communities.
