The Red Bull Air Race World Championshipwill be back in the skies over Las Vegas Motor Speedway with the finale of its 2015 race series. The world’s best race pilots will face off in a pure motorsport competition that combines speed, precision and skill. The Red Bull Air Race World Championship will take place Sunday, October 18 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. SCC volunteers have been invited to distribute small American flags (provided by Red Bull) to ticketholders before they go through the gates. For our volunteer service, Red Bull will make a donation to our children’s charity. When the race begins at Noon, Red Bull wants to make sure the crowd waves the flags for the TV broadcast.

Mission Statement
The mission of Speedway Children's Charities remains true to the ideals it was founded upon in 1982: To care for children in educational, financial, social and medical need in order to help them lead productive lives. SCC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and provides funding for hundreds of non-profit organizations throughout the nation that meet the direct needs of children. Our vision is that every child has the same opportunities no matter what obstacle they are facing.
Description
Since its inception in 1999, Speedway Children's Charities has granted more than $2.5 million to local children’s causes throughout Southern Nevada. Grants are given to a variety of organizations and most likely have touched the life of someone you know. These funds were raised by the generous support of the racing, corporate and local communities.
Operating as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities is governed by a board of local trustees whose sole purpose is to distribute the funds raised each year to qualified local children's-based charitable organizations.
