MULCHSTOCK: The Largest Peaceful Lawn Transformati

Be the change. Be part of the Movement.

Help save 1.6 million gallons of water per year!

We love to party and we love to do good work. At Mulchstock, we'll do both. Join a huge

crowd of volunteers for free food, soulful music, and a whole lot of mulch as we

transform 64,000 square feet of green lawn and our hearts forever.

Local musical heroes and purveyors of permaculture, Sol Horizon and Grand Crue will

be energizing us with their upbeat roots/reggae/funk/world music. Local green

businesses will be supporting us with delicious food, massages, and interesting booths as

we sheet mulch this big thirsty lawn.

Not familiar with sheet mulching? It's a process of layering compost, cardboard, and

mulch over a lawn to build soil, save water, and prevent weeds. We'll be creating a model

for businesses in the lawn laden Redwood Business Park to get rid of their thirsty turf

too. Lets work together to create a new normal...and dance while we're at it!

Mission Statement

Through creating media, initiating and sharing sustainability models, cultivating community networks and providing hands-on education, we empower citizens, strengthen leaders and grow community self-reliance.

Description

Daily Acts fulfills a critical role in promoting positive examples to inspire vision, hope and action. Our work is grounded in the principle that simple, mindful choices significantly enrich our lives and world. Citizens and leaders easily become overwhelmed by the diversity and scale of our ecological and social crises. By highlighting amazing people and efforts that demonstrate sustainability, we share the powerful relationships, skills and tools needed for healthy lives and a resilient world. We support sustainability pioneers, empower emerging leaders to share their stories and enable engaged citizens to make bold change for care of self, community, and planet.
