WOFKC operates a free homeless healthcare clinic every Saturday. The clinic operates for around 4 hours every Saturday (8am - 12pm) and typically sees around 20 patients for primary care and also treatment of conditions such as hypertension, diabetes etc. but it is a walk in clinic so we see whoever presents.
Our physicians write scripts, diagnose and make referrals. The clinic is supported with many volunteer nurses so the initial consultation/vitals etc. are all take prior to consultation with the physician.
We need volunteer physicians for Saturday mornings but it is only likely to be once per month to once every 6 weeks.
We provide medical malpractice insurance

WOFKC provides overseas medical missions to developing countries primarily the Philippines. Since 2013 we have operated a free clinic for the homeless in Kansas City - primary care for those without insurance or access to medical care. The homeless clinic is our primary volunteer need. Founded in 2004.
