ORGANIZATION: Home of the Sparrow, Inc

We need people responsible for getting the merchandise into the store and displayed. As items are donated to our store, backroom helps sort and we need people to place the merchandise within the store as directed by management. Merchandise stockers also can assist in keeping the store looking its best!

Flexible drop in hours Monday-Friday 10-6pm Saturday 10-7 Sunday Closed

Come in anytime we are open and it is conveniant with your schedule!

We serve our customers with low prices and a clean environment. Community Threads is 100% nonprofit and supports the local community through programs and financial grants that alleviate poverty and promote education.

Home of the Sparrow provides Hope, Opportunity and Support to empower women and children as they journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency.

Description

Volunteers are the backbone of Home of the Sparrow. Each time you volunteer, you become part of a woman’s story as she journeys to self-sufficiency!

Home of the Sparrow provides Transitional Shelter, as well as Affordable Housing and Rapid Re-Housing for women and children. Our Supportive Services address the core issues of homelessness.

We invite you to volunteer and shop at our Sparrow's Nest and Community Tread Thrift Stores. Stores are located in Woodstock, McHenry, Cary, Palatine, Mundelein, Third Lake, and Arlington Heights.
