Broaden Your Professional Development - Become a SCORE Volunteer Mentor
You are good at what you do. Your skills, talents, and business savvy are valuable resources that entrepreneurs can tap into. SCORE volunteers provide confidential business mentoring services, both in person and virtually. We offer business workshops to help small business owners improve their skills and succeed in today's changing marketplace.
Volunteering as a SCORE mentor means you are joining the largest Maine mentoring network who are all committed to helping small business owners succeed. Whether you have owned your own small business, come from a Fortune 500 company, or are a young professional we welcome your skills and talents as a SCORE volunteer.
How it works
Volunteers receive in-depth training on how to interact and coach our clients, who represent the broad spectrum of the Portland community. SCORE mentors are then matched with clients based on the mentor's experience and the client's needs. Mentors and clients can choose to meet face-to-face, online, or offer the phone to discuss the client's small business needs.
