Butterfly Grove is an affordable housing community and home to many wonderful and hardworking individuals - these include our senior residents. HOM provides our residents with necessary programs that meet our community's needs. Our senior population is growing and they require engagement in positive activities. These activities also allow them to socialize with other members of their community - lessening the isolation they feel at home. HOM would like to introduce to its senior residents a knitting class.
We are looking for a volunteer who knows how to knit and can instruct others. Our volunteers must be passionate about helping marginalized communities. This volunteer opportunity is flexible and all volunteers set their own days and times to come in. HOM only asks that volunteers be able to make at least a 3 month commitment.
