2017 POWER UP! Boot Camp

Now is your chance to volunteer at our fourth annual POWER UP! Boot Camp Event. We need volunteers to help us with this event at West Lawn Park (4233 W. 65th Street) in the West Lawn neighborhood of Chicago. The event will take place in the field house as well as on the grounds of the park.

We need your help to make sure this event runs as smoothly as possible. We need around 15 volunteers to help from 8:00am-12:00pm, and 15 more volunteers from 12:00pm-4:00pm. You are welcome to sign up for the whole day or just one shift. Volunteers will help with setup, registration, assembling goodie bags, and a number of other tasks. To become a volunteer, please email our Events Coordinator, Spencer Post at spencerpost@b2si.org. Please provide your name, phone number, and the time(s) you wish to help.

If you have a child or know of any between the ages of 6-12, we welcome you to sign them up for the POWER UP! Boot Camp. The camp will run from 8:30am-4:00pm and will teach the children about the importance of combining a healthy diet with regular exercise. There will be a number of physical activities as well as a nutrition class to teach them about making healthy dietary choices.
