Join the fight against breast cancer by participating in the Making Strides of North Central WV a non-competitive 5K run/walk on Saturday, October 24, at Hazel Ruby McQuain Waterfront Park at 10 AM (Registration starts at 9 AM). This inspiring event unites the entire community to honor and celebrate breast cancer survivors raise awareness about the steps we can take to help prevent the disease and raise money to find cures and support programs and services for those facing the disease. The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk needs volunteers! Just a few hours of your time at our October 2017 non-competitive, 5K (3.1 mile) event will help bring a lifetime of change for people facing breast cancer and their families.
This opportunity unites the community to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about what we can do to reduce our breast cancer risk, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with breast cancer research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them.
