  • 2 people are interested

We are Boys Hope Girls Hope of Kasnas City. We provide young boys who are academically capable but at risk for homelessness or poverty with an opportunity to gain a good education and brighter future.

We want all our youth to have a taste for arts and culture. We have a scholar currently needing transportation to weekly dance classes.

The driver would have to pick up from the BHGH of KC residence in their vehicle at 11:30 a.m. Saturday mornings for drop off at class in Olathe at noon, then pickup from Olathe at 1:30 p.m. for drop off at BHGH at 2:00 p.m.

Contact Deanna Ramos via email (dramos@bhgh.org) or by calling (913.381.1030) for more information about this opportunity. To learn more about Boys Hope Girls Hope of Kansas City see our webpage: bhghkc.org

Mission Statement

Boys Hope Girls Hope of Kansas City nurtures and guides motivated young people in need to become well-educated, career-ready men for others.

Description

Boys come to live in our family-like home as early as 5th grade and remain part of our program through college graduation. When a boy becomes a scholar in our program, he enrolls with one of our college preparatory educational partners. We supplement their education with a rigorous academic program outside of school, along with life coaching, health and wellness services, college selection, admission, and persistence, and career exploration. At this time we serve boys only, but we plan to open a home for girls in the next five years.

There are so many ways to volunteer with us, and we hope you will join us in coming alongside motivated youth in need as they become well-educated, career-ready men for others.
