Develop understanding of transportation issues and community engagement while growing own data management and organizational skills. Help increase Oregon Walks’ capacity to promote walking conditions that are safe, convenient and attractive for everyone throughout the Portland metropolitan region.

Volunteer Role and Responsibilities: The Office Assistant/ Sales Force Specialist supports Oregon Walks’ Executive Director, Volunteer Coordinator, and Fundraising Committee Chair by tracking donations and volunteer hours in Sales Force, generating reports for special projects and monthly meetings, and assist with printing and organizing donor correspondence such as Thank You letters.

Time Commitment: 3-5 hours a week; some work can be done from home but weekly office hours preferred, schedule dependent on volunteer’s availability.

Reports to: Executive Director/ Fundraising Committee Chair & Volunteer Coordinator

Qualifications: Dedication to pedestrian issues;interest in healthy communities and social equity; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong attention to detail; ability to work with Sales Force expert to learn new skills and trouble shoot issues.

Technical Skills: Previous experience with and basic knowledge of Sales Force, Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with Google Drive.
