Tour de Troit is seeking 15 volunteers to assist with 2015's International Bike the Bridge, bicyclists' only chance to ride across the Ambassador Bridge. Volunteers will assist with packet pick up in the morning and help distribute box lunches post ride.

Thank you for your consideration - all volunteers will be contacted and confirmed prior to their shifts.

*Note: Volunteers will not be able to ride.


The mission of the Tour de Troit is to promote and encourage bicycling and bicycle safety through education, public events, collaboration with community and government organizations and support for non-motorized infrastructure. The Tour de Troit, the city’s largest cycling event, raises awareness of biking as a mode of transportation and publicizes the growing greenways network in the City of Detroit and all of Southeastern Michigan. Tour de Troit has raised upwards of $200,000 towards non-motorized infrastructure since 2005, including the Southwest Detroit Greenlink; the GREEN Taskforce as adminstered by The Villages CDC; and the implementation of a standardized wayfinding system for the City of Detroit.

Tour de Troit also produces and supports other events that promote a healthy lifestyle and city, including the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Bike Ride, PaczKi Run, and Tour d’Eastside.

Tour de Troit has raised upwards of $360,000 towards non-motorized infrastructure since 2005, including the Southwest Detroit Greenlink; the GREEN Task Force as administered by The Villages CDC; and the implementation of a standardized wayfinding system for the City of Detroit.
