Join this exciting new program that works to combat the issue of marine debris in our county’s preserves. Marine debris is any manmade object discarded, disposed of or abandoned that enters the coastal or marine environment. Our work to keep these natural areas free of marine debris will help to enhance the experience for our preserve visitors and help to protect the wildlife that live in these areas. If you are passionate about helping to keep our waterways clean, this is your opportunity to make a difference! Free kayak and gear are available to use for 10 individuals or you may bring your own. Life preservers must be worn at all times. Program suitable for volunteers age 16 and older. Reservations are required - Please let us know if you would like to attend by calling 941-742-5923 ext. 6044.
