Power Hour, our after school homework help programs for 1st-5th graders are always in need of volunteers to help members with their homework . For those members in need of extra or more personalized educational assistance, one-on one tutoring opportunities exist. Tutors are asked to commit a minimum of one hour per week for a full school year to meet with a member at a set time determined by the tutor, the member's guardian and the Club member.
This is not only a great way to become active in your community, but also a great way for people interested in pursuing a career in the field of education to gain experience working with children.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington's mission is to provide a positive environment, quality programs and lifelong learning skills for all school-aged youth in Clark County with special concern for those coming from disadvantaged economic, social, and family circumstances.
Description
Through a variety of enrichment programs, our Clubs: build character; teach kids how to respect themselves and others; and offer valuable education programs to help improve school performance and develop a love of learning. Diverse programs and activities are offered in five core areas:
