Volunteers are needed for My Granny's Memory 4th Annual 1K/5K Walk to help raise awareness of Alzheimer's and dementia with children and families.
We have several volunteer opportunities and we would love to have you help us execute our annual My Granny’s Memory 4thAnnual 1K/5K Walk.
This is a family fun event. We are looking for dedicated and hardworking volunteers to make this event a success!! Bring your friends and families and cheer our families on as they cross the finish line or enjoy one of the many other volunteer opportunities that are available that day!
We need volunteers to help set up & break down the course, staff registration & information tables, provide water & snacks to walkers, provide entertainment, and help monitor the course. Family Friendly costumes are encouraged. Volunteers should report by 7:00 a.m. the day of the event.

Mandatory Volunteer Orientation - Saturday, October 24 @4pm at the DeSoto Amphitheater
RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
8:00 a.m. Registration
8:30 a.m. Aerobic Warm-Up
9:00 a.m. Balloon Release Ceremony
9:30 a.m. 1K/5K Walk

Our ambassadors educate children and families about Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, encourage healthy eating habits and promote exercise of mind and body. The organization offers support services to caregivers, families and those directly affected by the disease.
