Are you a Veteran? Would like to continue to make a difference in the life of another Veteran? Traditions Health needs people like you to donate your time, energy, and experience to continue to serve other Veterans. We are looking for Veterans to spend tine visiting with other Veterans in Hall county. Together, we will be able to help Veterans and their families living with terminal illness. No special skills required except for a willing heart and helping hands. Free training which covers general information about hospice and how it works, volunteer do's and don'ts, and safety information. Requirements for volunteers include background check, TB test, brief physical, and drug screen. We are happy to cover the cost of these requirements. If volunteers are working directly with patients, we ask that they be vaccinated for COVID or be tested for weekly. We are happy to work with your schedule and will keep you as close to home as possible. Mission Statement
At Traditions Hospice, we strive to help our patients and their families by coordinating our care to involve the entire family through counseling, spiritual support, and access to our team of professionals. Terminal illness affects the entire family structure. Adjustment, mental process, self awareness, acceptance and grief are major parts of the dying process. Our trained Social Workers and Therapists are available to work with the entire family in dealing with these issues. We employ fully-qualified staff to help with financial assistance, patient placement, care centers, funeral arrangements and we are always there just to talk.
