Help other seniors get the health care they need and improve their quality of life with your companionship 2-4 hours a week.
- Need respite providers for in-home Hospice caregivers to run errands or attend medical appointments. Mileage to and from assignments will be reimbursed up to $25 per month, per volunteer
- Need volunteer to provide transportation for homebound seniors to attend medical appointments. Mileage reimbursed. Liability insurance provided
- Need volunteers to make daily well-being calls to homebound seniors who live alone. Mileage to and from office will be reimbursed

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is sponsored by the Valley Area Agency on Aging (VAAA): "VAAA provides action, advocacy and answers on care for the elderly and disabled adults of Genesee, Lapeer and Shiawassee Counties by enhancing lives, empowering choice, sustaining independence and supporting caregivers and families"
Description
RSVP matches volunteers age 55+ to local organizations, offering countless opportunities to provide Community Service in their own community. Volunteers are given:
Excess Auto liability insurance coverage.
Life Insurance.
Assistance with fuel costs.
Recognition.
An opportunity to share their knowledge and life experience with others in their own community.
