The Montclair Public Library is seeking bilingual volunteers to become Certified Application Counselors (CAC) to help individuals and families access affordable healthcare coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Meet one-on-one with members of the community to explain the Healthcare Marketplace program.
- Provide informational materials to help clients understand the Health Marketplace.
- Walk consumers through online enrollment process to help them understand the applications, answer their questions objectively, and assist with technology or documentation challenges.
- Document each meeting and submit report to the library staff.
Candidates will be required to complete online CAC training and commit to a minimum of one hour per week. Fluent knowledge of a second language, preferably Spanish, is preferred.
