PLEASE HELP ANGELS GRACE HOSPICE TO HONOR OUR PATIENTS WHO HAVE SERVED OUR COUNTRY.
Angels Grace Hospice provides end of life care for terminally ill patients in area nursing homes. It is estimated that 25% of all people who die every year in the U.S. are Veterans. Angels Grace Hospice would like to honor them for their service to our country.
We are looking for veterans to volunteer in our Veterans Recognition Program. Volunteers go to nursing home facilities where our patients reside, present them with a "Proud Veteran" pin and a personalized certificate of thanks, and express gratitude for their service. These visits are short but very meaningful to both the patients and their family members who may attend. While it is hard watching so many of the older veterans leaving us, it is gratifying to let them know how appreciated and loved they are. It is our hope and goal that our Veterans know we appreciate them and the sacrifices made to maintain the freedoms that we hold so dear. Our hope is that every time patients see their pins and certificates, they know their military service is deeply appreciated.

Description
Angels Grace Hospice is a new, locally owned and operated organization which is licensed in the state of Illinois. Angels Grace is dedicated to providing excellent care when a life-limiting illness no longer responds to curative treatments. Hospice care is provided in the patient's home, family member's homes, long-term care facilities and hospitals. The patient's and the family's medical, social, emotional and spiritual needs are addressed by a team of hospice professionals and volunteers.
