FAR is in need of an enthusiastic DJ for our Friday Night Parties. They are held once a month on the 3rd Friday of each month. The parties start at 6:00 and end at 8:30PM. At the parties our special needs participants will have the chance to socialize with peers while engaging in fun games/activities, arts and crafts, as well as dancing. Dinner is also provided.
We need a DJ who can provide appropriate and entertaining music to our special needs participants during the party. This is a great opportunity for you to get involved in the community while having fun! Must prodvide adequate sound equipment.

**Students in high school and college can earn volunteer hours and experience working with the special needs population.

Description
FAR Therapeutic Arts and Recreation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing a space for folks with special needs to enrich their lives. Founded in 1951, we work with clients of all ages, introducing them to new activities and experiences, helping them gain a deeper understanding of themselves and showing them new ways to communicate how they feel.
Through the dedication of our highly-trained staff and the support of partners and collaborating organizations throughout Metro Detroit, we offer music, art, dance/movement and recreational therapy for children and adults with a variety of special needs diagnoses. We go into schools in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb Counties to provide music, art, dance/movement and recreational therapy for students receiving special education services. We work to expose our clients to new avenues of expression which serve to improve how they relate and interact with their environments and families.
