We are looking for very special volunteers to take on an amazing holiday project! Walker Furniture has partnered with Helping Hands of Vegas Valley to process the letters for their annual Home 4 The Holiday’s Program! Selected families in need are given complete furniture packages for their homes. Now in its 22 nd year, Walker Furniture will be giving furniture to 30 families! The selected volunteers will go in pairs to visit the homes of candidates to ask some questions & document conditions.
This opportunity begins mid-October and goes through the beginning of December, with all home visits made by December 8.
**Please note that this opportunity takes a true commitment. If you agree to be a part of this group, you must attend all meetings. When visits are scheduled, it is imperative that volunteers go out in teams of no less than 2 so therefore, a volunteer’s agreement to attend needs to be honored for the safety and respect of the other volunteers.**
Volunteers must be 18 years of age and over, submit to a background check (paid for by HHOVV), have reliable transportation and be available flexible days and times including evenings and weekends.

Serving Seniors 60 and Greater in Our Community Since 2000
Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) is a dedicated non-profit organization that offers five essential programs to low-income seniors aged 60 and greater in the Las Vegas community, completely free of charge. Each month, we proudly serve over 3,500 seniors who rely on our comprehensive programs and services to support and enhance their quality of life.Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) is a dedicated non-profit organization that offers five essential programs to low-income seniors aged 60 and above in the Las Vegas community, completely free of charge. Each month, we proudly serve over 3,500 seniors who rely on our comprehensive programs and services to support and enhance their quality of life.
Our programs include:
A well-stocked pantry providing nutritious food items
Respite care for caregivers, offering much-needed breaks
Reliable transportation services to medical appointments and other essential destinations
Minor home repair assistance to ensure safe and comfortable living conditions
Nutrition programs designed to promote healthy eating habits and overall well-being
All types of volunteers are welcome: Groups, families, individuals, organizations. One time commitments to long term commitments!
