Are you part of a group that wants to volunteer together?

Volunteer for an ESL Social!

Help beginning level adult refugees and immigrants practice their English skills. Volunteers participate in conversation activities with a class of adult English language learners. Practicing English conversation with a variety of people helps students gain fluency and confidence in their new language skills. Volunteers tour a learning center, learn more about adult literacy and receive training.

When: This is a one-time, 2-hour project. It can be scheduled on a weekday morning, afternoon or evening, depending on your group's availability.

Who: Groups of 5 to 15 volunteers. Faith communities, corporate groups, youth groups and families with teens are welcome.

Where: A learning center in the Minnesota Literacy Council's network located in Minneapolis or St. Paul.

How: Contact Liam Shramko at LShramko@mnliteracy.org or 651-251-9060.
