Do you like talking about money? Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity that will make a lasting difference in our area? One that not only helps local families but that also helps you develop new skills? Volunteer with VITA this upcoming tax season!
All volunteers are fully trained and IRS-certified. You can be a part of this impact by helping low and moderate income families learn about tax credits and preparing their tax returns. After certification, you will be asked to volunteer for at least 4 hours (one shift) each week from February-April at one of our 11 VITA sites across Utah County.
Training materials will be available starting in November 2019. Classroom trainings will be held in early January 2020.
Hear what other volunteers have to say about the program:
"It['s] really fun, I enjo[y] helping the people. Everyone is so committed and I love the team work."
"I've been volunteering with VITA since 2008. It's one of the best ways of getting financial aid back to the people who need it. . . I just really like to help people, and this is a meaningful way to do it."
"We're still giving back to the community in a HUGE way. I love volunteering with VITA . . . It's a great feeling to be able to say 'don't worry--this one's on us' and know it's truly making a difference in someone's life."
