Under the direction of the program director or designee the Yoga Assistant will:

1. Create a mind and body union through exercise that helps to improve flexibility, strength and balance.
2. Support senior with vision loss and chronic conditions with exercise techniques for that can be done in a seated position using the upper and lower body.
3. Help guide senior clients through a variety of postures and breathing exercises with hands-on direction to make sure senior clients are performing movements properly and applying correct breathing techniques.
4. State clear verbal instructions, and ensure that the volume, tempo of music and overall atmosphere is conducive to hearing, teaching, learning and having fun.
5. Continually monitor participants to ensure all participants are using correct form. Offer variations of routines to accommodate different fitness levels.
