At New Hope Equine Assisted Therapy our volunteers are the core of our organization. The services you provide and the time you spend at the ranch with our clients is at the heart of the services we provide. As New Hope Equine Assisted Therapy continues to grow so does the need for excellent volunteers like you. We are looking forward to having you participate in our fall semester of classes Tuesday September 8th through Saturday December 19th . We are in need of Horse Leaders and Sidewalkers for our riders. Mission Statement

New Hope Equine Assisted Therapy was established to provide therapeutic horseback riding services that can enhance the rider’s quality of life, both physically and mentally. New Hope is committed to serving the needs of persons with a wide variety of disabilities.

Description

Therapeutic horseback riding is the use of horses and equine-assisted activities in order to achieve goals that enhance physical, emotional, social, cognitive, behavioral and educational skills for people who have disabilities. It not only focuses on the therapeutic riding skills but also the development of a relationship between horse and rider. It uses a team approach in order to provide treatment for the individual with the guidance of riding instructor.
