ORGANIZATION: Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science

SUMMARY: Do you love the outdoors? Join Museum Volunteers for the Environment (MUVE) as an environmental citizen scientist and collect essential scientific data, while spending time in a gorgeous natural environment. MUVE's citizen scientists conduct bird habitat use surveys, serve as naturalist explainers at local beaches, and collect tree flowering and fruiting data that help scientists learn more about our changing ecosystems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • A positive attitude
  • Knowledge and/or passion for content areas of the museum with a willingness to learn more
  • Excellent communication skills, both interpersonally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and self-direction for tasks and projects
  • Successfully complete a criminal background check.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prompt attendance.
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Must pass criminal background check and drug test
