At Malachi Clothing( www.MalachiClothing.com) we are always on the lookout for new energy and support for our work. Interns play a key role in helping us further what we do as an organization and in expanding our ability to fulfill our mission: to empower people to rise above homelessness in America. We love interns. Each new team means a new group experiencing Malachi Clothing in a deep and creative way, bring their history and experience to the position while learning a host of new perspective and skills. Our goals for interns are threefold: that they grow individually, professionally and personally; that they help us achieve more then we otherwise could; and that they become deeper advocates of work that we do and individuals we partner with around the La area. The internship is not lacking in fun, but its also a lot of work. Ultimately, it’s about a cause bigger then all of us, as we strive to see change in others lives. We are a group passionate people doing what we love in order to show love to others around the homeless community. We are often blown away at the opportunity we have to play a part in making this world better. As an organization, we are working to show that doing Godly business and doing good can mean more, connect more, and impact more, than ever before. We are about creative challenging outdated methods, and about finding and proving empower individuals and communities around the world. Because we know that every life impacted, the ripple continue far beyond the immediately seen. This internship will be demanding, but it will be ever more rewarding. It will working with strangers and making them your best friends, working long hours but developing a stronger faith in God watch your projects and prayers take off! You will learn then ins and out of the Christian apparel world and just doing business as a Christian. Learning about social enterprise, pouring your heart into projects you deeply believe in, and tirelessly spreading the message that with people purchase, lives are changed. Oh and its really fun, too! And at the heart of it all will be the stories of the people, the families, and the communities that are strengthened daily by the work that we do. Together, we will change lives. And yes you will get free Malachi gear!

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION: SOCIAL MEDIA/ COMMUNICATIONS

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Writing copy for campaigns, press releases (as needed)

• Writing drafts for blog and facebook • Maintaining Interns Blog

• Documenting/ recapping events

• Researching Blogs, websites, social media connections for Malachi Clothing

• Reviewing analytics for use of facebook and blog

• Planning/ promoting events • Attending events as part of the team

• Creating focus groups once a month

• Marketing concepts for video promo/ photography

• Developing quarterly Marketing outline Brand development: creating styles and themes to express the Malachi Clothing in a way that is consistent with the mission, values, and strategic vision of our companies business philosophies. We have a quarterly campaign expressing some form of Christian individuality. Campaign Advertising:

Creating campaign budget for advertising and public relations duties. Researching advertising outlets for our demographic. Developing Ads/Videos that reach our audience.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, proven writing and journalism skills, and an existing following on social media networks. Internship

Details Internship is generally 3-5 months in length, depending on the season. Internship applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Internships are unpaid Internships are available in part time (20-25 hours/week)

College credit is available and recommended for the internship. We suggest that you start talking with your school advisor now about the steps necessary for this. We are more than willing to fill out the needed paperwork to ensure that you get academic credit for your work with us.
