Serve as a tutor and help with homework at one of our College and Career Centers within an MPS high school, starting September 27.

Students visiting the College and Career Centers love the extra help on homework and projects. You do not need to be a subject area expert to serve, just be willing to help students with the work they bring in. Students are most often looking for help with math, science, English, and foreign languages. Bilingual Spanish volunteers are in great need!

Volunteers are needed Wednesday evenings. Shifts are either 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. or 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., depending on which site you choose. You will be able to select a side of town that is most convenient for you.

The study area is supervised by College and Career Centers staff at all times - you're just there to help!

This is a great volunteer opportunity for retirees, college students, or folks interested in supporting high school students.

Attending a two-hour College and Career Center Volunteer Tutor Orientation is required. Orientations are offered Wednesday, September 6 and Thursday, September 7, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Orientations will cover volunteer basics and tips on being a good tutor.
