Foster homes are needed to provide temporary housing for cats and kittens. Volunteers provide food, shelter and love; 4Paws pays for pre-authorized vet services. Foster homes transport their wards to and from adoption fairs which are usually held twice each month in Northern Virginia pet stores. The commitment can vary from a few weeks to a couple of months depending upon the availability of the volunteer.
UPDATE: Adoption fairs are currently cancelled. We are encouraging adopters and fosters to have virtual cat meetings to allow the adopters to get a feel for the cat's personality and fit for their home.

Mission Statement
The 4Paws Rescue Team is a nonprofit community-based all volunteer organization that takes in neglected, abandoned, abused and unwanted cats and kittens. Cats rescued by 4Paws receive vaccines and appropriate veterinary care before being adopted into permanent, loving homes. An animal rescued by 4Paws will never be euthanized except out of medical necessity.
Description
We are a group of volunteers caring for cats in our homes and in area store cages until they are adopted. We hold adoption fairs at local Petco stores.
