Stamford Public Education Foundation is seeking volunteers to mentor students in Stamford Public Schools. The mentoring program meets once a week for forty minutes during the school day. Volunteers work one-on-one with the same student until May. Mentors are provided with a workbook that reinforces out program's four main objectives: goal setting, academic engagement, extracurricular involvement, and college and career readiness. Orientations will be held the last week of September and sessions will begin early October. If you are interested in learning more about the program and what time slots are available, please contact Stephane Smarth at (203) 965-7733 or at ssmarth@spefct.org.
